From June 15th to the 17th the Touratech Travel Event will take place on the Touratech headquarter in Niedereschach (Black Forest / Germany). Visitors can look forward to many surprises and a lot of action around travelling and motorbikes. Once again, the Touratech Travel-Event will be joined with the BMW Motorrad GS Challenge Germany.
About 50 exhibitors and many interesting guests will make this event special. Visitors will meet Nick Sanders, one the world’s greatest motorcycle adventurer, who will talk about his eventful life and his latest record trip, the »Pan American Double«. Further highlights are the presentation of the new Touratech movie »One More Cup of Coffee before the Desert« by Herbert and Ramona Schwarz on Saturday evening and Andreas Hülsmann’s adventures on the »Road of Bones« in eastern Siberia on Friday.
The Touratech Travel Event starts on Friday, 15th of June, at noon. Among other things, the wide-ranging programme will feature fascinating lectures and interesting workshops, on-road and off-road test rides as well as guided tours to the highlights of the BMW Motorrad GS Challenge. More attractions are waiting, such as factory tours and a fashion show, not to forget a variety of fair-priced food and drinks.
And on Saturday and Sunday, there’s the popular seconds sale to look forward to. Various exhibitors will present interesting novelties around motorbikes, and travel specialists will give a lot of advice. Twice a day, in association with the Enduropark Hechlingen, there will be off-road test rides on a BMW F 800 GS.
While a huge polygon tent on the open-air site will offer protection from rain or too much sun, the presentations will be held in a hall in the event area reserved for this purpose. Whether it’s »TransBalkan« (Vienna–Istanbul by Cordula and Rudi Froese), »Coast to Coast« (Africa journey by Dirk Schäfer), or »In the Realm of the Golden Buddha« (South East Asia trip by Thomas Lang) – there will be something for everyone. Those who don’t just want to see the beautiful pictures but take them instead will have the opportunity to be initiated into the secrets of photography and video filming by the motorbike and travel journalists Andreas Hülsmann and Dirk Schäfer.
Once again, visitors of the Touratech Travel-Event have the opportunity to witness the BMW Motorrad GS Challenge and its spectacular final, which will take place on Touratech’s site on Saturday, 16th of June, from approximately 6 p.m. on. In this challenge, the best GS riders will fight for the highly coveted starting places for the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2012 in South America. At the same time, the members of the Trophy Alps Team with the best GS riders from Austria and Switzerland will be determined here.
