The 250 and 300 two stroke models of KTM’s 2018 enduro range will feature fuel injection.
Drastically reduced fuel consumption while also no longer having the need to pre-mix fuel or alter the machines’ jetting are announced as the major advantages of the fuel injection. Also better power delivery and rideability are promised for the complete new engines. The technology used is called TPI (Transfer Port Injection), as the air/fuel mixture is injected in the transfer port of the cylinder.
The official release of the complete 2018 enduro range including the injected 2-stroke bikes is scheduled for May 15th.
