A varied programme, more than 60 exhibitors and the so far largest range of riding activities: Touratech’s Travel Event, taking place in Niedereschach / Southern Germany from June 13th to 15th, will be once again the gathering place for motorbike fans from far and wide.
It’s a place to get infected with the travel bug, to get some good information, to exchange ideas, to have »fuel talks«, or to plan the next trip – Touratech’s Travel Event has always been a breeding ground of many adventures on two wheels. The fun starts on Friday, June 13th at 12 noon. Exciting lectures and interesting workshops are part of the comprehensive programme as well as the opportunity for extended test rides, stage presentations and facility visits.
Various exhibitors will present motorbike-related novelties while travel specialists will provide help and advice. Visitors can look forward to a versatile catering service, the popular seconds sale and a brand new chill-out area.
Since there won’t be a BMW Motorrad GS Trophy Germany this year, the additional space will be used to further increase the attractiveness of the event. Nolan, Metzeler, KTM, Ducati, Suzuki and BMW will all bring their big trucks. Almost all current motorcycle models will be presented at the Travel Event – not only to admire them, but also to test them.
The Touratech Travel Event is, in the first place, mainly supposed to be an inspiration for motorcycle riding and travelling. According to this, there will be versatile activities on two wheels, such as safety trainings, common ride-outs into the Black Forest and the Swabian Mountains and guided off-road tours for advanced riders. There will be different tracks for off-road newbies to gain their first experiences beyond tarmac under guidance as well as for experienced enduro riders to improve their skills. A circuit, similar to one of the special stages at the BMW Motorrad GS Trophy, offers the chance of doing some off-road riding – required skills and stamina provided.
Guided bike tours are a chance to experience the favourite tracks of the Touratech guides. Motorbike fans can have a try at trials riding or discover the region’s beauty on their own by using various roadbooks. All these offers are for free, the number of participants per tour or training class is, however, limited.
Travelling is also in the blood of two of our special guests: Grant and Susan Johnson have already inspired many people to live their dreams. With »Horizons Unlimited«, they have created an institution that unites motorbike adventurers worldwide.
A special highlight at the 2014 Travel Event will be the premiere of the new Touratech movie »ZimZamBot – All about Adventure« by Ramona and Herbert Schwarz, taking place on Saturday evening. On Friday evening, June 13th, Dirk Schäfer will entertain the audience by showing a funny summary of 20 years of motorbike travelling.
